I literally refuse to wear a dress just once. Especially if it’s something I spent my hard earned money on. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Even when I was a struggling regional theater actress in New York and I would do CRAZY things like spend an entire week’s salary on my opening night outfit you better believe I was wearing that sucker to weddings and costume parties forever after.

I recently went to a wedding in Santa Barbara and had my heart set on wearing a black slip dress. Gwyneth Paltrow was rumored to be in attendance and I wanted her to notice me doing my best impression of Gwyneth Paltrow in the 90s. I ended up finding the perfect dress at Reformation and I was thrilled to wear the same dress again to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Silverlake a few weeks later.

Here’s how to take a fancy silk slip dress daytime

+ a t-shirt underneath

+ boots

+ a cozy sweater

+ a daytime bag.

As for how to get Gwyneth Paltrow to notice you, I’m still trying to figure that one out.
