This outfit sort of reminds me of a modern day take on what TLC was wearing in their famous Waterfalls video. Let’s just say I put it on and instantly felt “CrazySexyCool.” Crazy in the good sense mind you, like “it’s crazy how awesome these pants are!”

I don’t think I need to qualify feeling sexy or cool.

The Brigette top and Mick pant were  sent over last week by one of my favorite new and emerging designers, Cienne NY. I worked with Cienne last fall so when they asked if they could send me some new pieces from the S/S collection of course I said Yes! Yes! Yes! FYI there is a matching skirt to this crop top that will probably show up on my instagram very soon. Worth noting that the striped fabric is sourced in Ethiopia and all Cienne’s designs are made in New York. I have this theory that clothes made through responsible practices feel differently when you put them on and Cienne is no exception.

Speaking of made in the U.S.A. brands, today I attended a fantastic brunch in Hermosa Beach at Gum Tree hosted by one of my favorite people in the blogosphere Katie Dean Jewelry. I’ve been to two events that Katie has hosted this year and they always have the warmest vibe which is certainly a testament to Katie herself.
