Sometimes I like to make things difficult for myself. I know this to be true. If not why would I have been agonizing all weekend about what to change my instagram and twitter handles to when I was suppose to be chillaxing at this beautiful house in Ojai?

Do you ever have a really hard time making a really easy decision? I do and the more I start thinking the more I consider from every angle, the harder it gets to come to a conclusion.

I can chalk it up to being a child of divorce and having to change houses every weekend or the fact that I had to change schools five times before college. I can beat up on myself for not being able to make like, a really easy decision like what to go by on social media but hating change also comes with some perks. It makes it nearly impossible for me to quit something unless I’m truly miserable like when I sold clothes on eBay for a week.

Ojai is a pretty groovy place. Literally. It’s full of old hippies, and mindful people and artists and vegetarians and I could definitely see myself living there. My favorite place to go when I’m in town is The Farmer and the Cook for their vegetable huarache and green smoothies.  I found some new spots this weekend like Dekor and Co. and this awesome swimming hole just off 33 North.

I knew I was being unreasonable about the name change but I had to process it and part of that was accepting that I have a really hard time making decisions and I invariably hate change even if it’s necessary. The twitter and instagram are just the beginning, the blog is getting a whole new facelift and I’m really excited to share it soon. This weekend was a good reminder that it’s always a good time for a new groove and change is a (somewhat uncomfortable) constant.
